Son #1 has taken it upon himself to harvest veggies and make a salad to have with dinner every night, but I managed to find a few peppers (top to bottom: Jimmy Nardello, Tangerine Dream, and Savour Hybrid, all sweet.) And the cucumber plants have slowly recovered from the groundhog and we are getting some mini pickling cukes. And, after removing a dozen chipmunks from the vicinity of our garden, we are finally starting to get some tomatoes!
The chipmunks were even taking the unripe tomatoes, so the slowly ripening green zebra has not been ready for harvest yet. And the black cherry variety is my husband’s favorite. They all mysteriously disappeared from the bowl before I got a chance to take a photo.
Here’s hoping we get more cucumbers and a lot more tomatoes before the end of the growing season.
