Super Easy Infinity Scarf II

This is basically the same as my Super Easy Infinity Scarf.  The only difference is it is worked in short rows instead of long rounds.

It looks fancy, but is really very, very easy!  You only need to know chaining and double crochet.

Worsted weight, or light bulky, yarn.  This pattern works well with yarn which gradually changes color.  I used Stitch Studio by Nicole (A.C. Moore brand) Mystic Waves in “Redwood Grove.”

J hook (6.0 mm), scissors, yarn needle

  • ch: chain
  • dc: double crochet
  • sl st: slip stitch

The Super Easy Pattern:

This pattern is my own.  It is very simple.  Any resemblance to existing patterns is accidental.

  1. Chain 21*
  2. Turn, dc in 4th st from hook and each st across (turning ch3 and 18 dc)
  3. Turn, ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1), (skip a st, dc, ch 1) until 2 sts remain, then dc in the top of the ch 3 (10 dc, 9 ch 1 spaces)
  4. Turn, ch3 (counts as dc), dc in each dc and each ch1 space across and in top of ch3 (19dc)
  5. Repeat rows 3 & 4 until piece is the length desired, ending with an open row.
  6. Sew ends together.

* If you would like a wider scarf, you can start by chaining 23, or any odd number.  Your stitch count will be different than mine, but stitch pattern stays the same.
