Pooled Baby Blanket

It has been a while.

I have been knitting and crocheting as much as ever, but blogging has not been happening recently because my toddler hates when I try to use my computer.  She climbs into my lap and then hits keys and fiddles with stuff on my desk until I give up.  She makes it impossible to type up anything, including patterns.  But, I did manage to get this post up quickly today.

She’s adorable, and I really should be playing with her instead, so I don’t mind too much.  I do have a backlog of projects to share.

I finished this blanket back in November and gave it to a good friend who recently welcomed a second son.  I love it so much.

The blanket was worked in pooled moss stitch using I hook and 3 skeins of Lion Brand Color Waves yarn.  color pattern: 3 sts per color (it’s a squeeze on some colors.)

  1. using a double strand of simply soft and I hook, work moss stitch (sc, ch1) around.  Scs will go in every turning chain on sides.
  2. using single strand of simply soft and I hook, work 4 dc into each ch1 space.  Work 8 dc in corners.
  3. dc all

and the toddler showed up.  The other projects will have to wait for next time.
